Amblygonite is generally found as massive white cleavable masses in complex granite pegmatites.

FLORENCE COUNTY: Amblygonite masses up to 5 cm. across occur in zoned pegmatites in sec. 22 T.39N. R.17E., near Fern. (Koehler, 1989).
